EMASS

EMASS (Ejection Modeling and Simulation System) is a specialized simulation platform for modeling pilot biomechanics during ejection, windblast loading, parachute opening shock, and high-G maneuvers. It is built for scenario-based study of injury risk, aircrew survivability, and system design evaluation.

EMASS integrates validated human body models such as THUMS and OpenHBM with advanced solvers and toolchain components (LS-DYNA, ANSA, LS-PrePost) in a streamlined interface. That combination supports detailed biomechanical simulation without forcing every study to be assembled from scratch across disconnected tools.

The system aligns with Innovision’s longer track record in impact and ejection-related biomechanics—work that has included ejection seat simulation and related crash and hard-landing injury mitigation research—now packaged as a focused environment for aircrew survivability questions.
