De-KCIB (Deep Knowledge Center for Injury Biomechanics)

May 1, 2025 | AI/ML, Insights

The focus of this blogpost is to soft-launch beta version of Innovision’s proprietary software De-KCIB (Deep Knowledge Center for Injury Biomechanics)[Figure-1]. De-KCIB specializes in disseminating knowledge about human-injury’s biomechanics. De-KCIB is chatbot and has following features: small language models(SLMs) as opposed to large language model (LLM); all SLMs are fine-tuned on scientific domain database of injury biomechanics; retrieval augmented generation (RAG) implementation to keep SLM’s answers grounded in scientific literature as opposed to its inbuild general knowledge; multiple SLMs including reasoning variants; thread style chat management where users can jump across chats without losing previous chats; user traffic control through 3rd party authentication, real time evaluation of the generated answers; citation of sources used to generate the answers; 100% local hosting while no data leaving local workstation host.

To access the tool please click on the HuggingFace link and sign-in using HuggingFace account. You can create the account for free if you don’t have one. Once you logged in, please select the database and SLM that you want to use for your query. Once you are done with your session, you can log-out without worrying about losing your chat history since De-KCIB is designed to remember your past chat threads since they will be connected to your HugginFace ID and stored in our servers.

NOTE: Since De-KCIB is in beta development, it is meant to malfunction. Please report to us if you encounter any problem. Furthermore, since language models posses’ non-deterministic nature their outputs (hence De-KCIB) shall be used carefully under human supervision and they can’t be designed to provide 100% correct information for 100% of the times. This product is subjected to continuous R&D development and hence new features will be added frequently. If you have any feature request, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Thank you!
