Human Digital Twin Development

Human Digital Twin (HDT) is a digital representation or virtual copy of an individual human. Innovision has been developing human digital twin technology since 2017.  Innovision’s HDT comprises individualized and unified human models combined with data links and personal data containers. Integrated with AI, extended reality, and advanced digital engineering technologies, Innovision’s HDT can be used to promote, improve, and optimize human centered design, service, and performance. Our HDT endeavor was supported by two small business innovative research (SBIR) programs. Under Patient Digital Twin with a Performance Capture System for Scoliosis Physiotherapy, a SBIR Phase I awarded by Natioal Science Foundation, Innovision developed a scoliosis patient digital twin that describes a patient’s body shape and muscular skeleton, and the model is then used to create an immersive and interactive environment for scoliosis physiotherapeutic exercises. Under Pilot Digital Twin for Neck Injury Mitigation, a SBIR Phase I and II awarded by the Air Force, Innovision has developed a software system for pilot digital twin construction and implementation. Combined with a neck injury model with anatomical details, pilot digital twin can be used to analyze and prediction chronic and acute neck injures induced from high-G maneuvers and ejections.
