DACAA

DACAA (Dynamic Avatars with Complete Articulated Anatomy) is a digital human modeling system that generates individualized avatars with complete anatomy and high biofidelity. It integrates 3D body surface, musculoskeletal, and finite element models so users can reposition, morph, animate, and analyze models in a medically realistic way.

By supporting motion-capture–driven animation and pose control, DACAA enables biomechanical and physiological analysis of an individual based on the model. Application areas include warfighter physiological status prediction, performance analysis, immersive training, and virtual testing.

DACAA was developed under SBIR Phase I and Phase II support from the Defense Health Agency (DHA). It also appears as a human digital twin building block inside broader Innovision environments—such as PPE-oriented digital engineering workflows that need anatomical models for fit, loading, and injury-related assessment.
