IDEEP
IDEEP (Integrated Digital Engineering Environment for PPE) is a comprehensive digital engineering framework that connects biomechanics models, finite element analysis (FEA), and human digital twins with AI-assisted design tools. It enables rapid prototyping, evaluation, and optimization of personal protective equipment to enhance safety, comfort, and mission effectiveness.
Developed under a Navy STTR Phase I and Phase II effort, IDEEP supports an end-to-end style workflow—from early design through virtual prototyping, testing, optimization, and assessment. Human digital twin integration (including detailed and simplified models) helps predict biomechanical response and PPE interaction with the body for fit, comfort, and protection.
